the first step in preparing for sod was figuring out our water situation, we knew our water pressure was weak and inconsistent so we needed a plan to water the entire front yard effectively and consistently. ideally one would also test this plan before hand but we will get to that later…

i did some research and found good reviews for the davey water booster pump.

before installing the pump i measured the water pressure at the faucet outside and found it to fluctuate between 25 and 50 psi. the install of the pump was as easy as a little cpvc and teflon tape. weve been using the pump for a week now and we find that it quietly and consistely provides 60psi at the faucet.
