My experience with partmaster on ebay

Before purchasing this item I wrote the seller partmaster the following message;
'can you provide measurements? please explain 'both sides of the plug'. i am looking at installing this as a new mod, NOT replacing an existing piece so i am wondering about wiring. do you know how this mounts to the dash? will i have to modify the dash itself? any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. thank you'

partmaster responded with;
'What year and model Toyota are you putting it into?'

to which i responded;
'1986 4runner'

partmaster then responded with;
'This will fit your 1986 4Runner. There are holes in the bottom of the dash pad that you will have to drill it out to mount it. The connector directly connects it to your wiring.'

So I bid on, and won the item. Partmaster only takes cashiers checks so I purchased one and sent it off, 9 days later I recieved my altimeter. Only upon disasembling the complete dash of the 4runner did I notice the part requires a mounting bracket to install. Thats when I visited ebay searching for a mount only to find that partmaster had just created an auction for an altimeter mount similar to this. I wrote partmaster discussing my issues with the mount and the fact that the cover of the altimiter appears to be more red than brown but I did not hear back. I did'nt even mention to him the fact that he didnt mention the wear to the front of the altimeter.

Here is a picture of the supposed 'BROWN Altimeter/Inclinometer (tilt gauge) from a 1986 Toyota 4x4 4Runner' ontop of a brown dash from a 1986 4x4 4Runner. What do you think? Wait till I show you the pictures of a RED dashboard from a 1986 4Runner.

Here you will notice fading on the face of the altimeter and spots where the wear has eaten away the black, making the cover see through.

Partmaster claims 'ALWAYS HAPPY to resolve problems.'. Partmaster was notified via email of the situation and made NO EFFORT WHAT SO EVER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE EVEN 50 DAYS LATER.

Partmaster claims 'UNCOOPERATIVE AND DECEITFUL BEWARE!' I'm not sure if 'UNCOOPERATIVE' is when I sent the check 2 days after I won the auction (the following monday) or if it was when I wrote him my thoughts on the product the day I recieved it, maybe that is the 'DECEITFUL' part?

Partmaster also claims 'If you did not like answers do not bid!'. I'm confused how to respond to that being that HE KNOWINGLY WITHHELD INFORMATION REGARDING SPECIFIC QUESTIONS HE WAS ASKED. How does one know if they should 'like answers' if you must rely on those very answers?
